Seitz Named Chairman of Indiana State Bar Association Legislation Committee
The law firm of Bose McKinney & Evans LLP is pleased to announce that partner Daniel B. Seitz has been selected as the incoming chairman of the Indiana State Bar Association (ISBA) Legislation Committee.
The State Legislation Committee monitors the activities of the Legislature in those areas of interest pertinent to the profession of law, keeps the Board of Governors informed of such matters, and supports by testimony and other means the policies of the Association before the General Assembly.
The ISBA was founded in 1896 to advance the profession of law and secure a more effective administration of justice; to promote reforms in the law; and to encourage excellence in legal education for both the law student and the practicing lawyer. With more than 12,000 members, the ISBA is the largest legal organization in the state.
Seitz is a partner, member of Bose McKinney & Evans’ Health Care Group, member of the Business Services Group and managing principal of the public affairs ancillary business, Bose Public Affairs Group LLC. He has worked in the Indiana legislature and with Indiana regulatory agencies since the early 1970s, with particular emphasis on health policy and insurance transactional and compliance matters.
Seitz received his law degree and Bachelor of Arts from Indiana University – Bloomington. He has presented seminars and written numerous articles about health policy and insurance matters as well as other issues pertaining to the Indiana legislature or legislative process. His articles have appeared in publications such as the Indianapolis Business Journal and In-Roads.
He is named an Honorary Insurance Commissioner for the state of Indiana by the Indiana Department of Insurance (IDOI) and selected for “The Best Lawyers in America®” from 2007 through 2010.
