Bose Public Affairs Group Receives STAR Award of Excellence from the Indiana Society of Association Executives
Bose Public Affairs Group LLC has received a STAR Award of Excellence for Best Community/Philanthropic Program from the Indiana Society of Association Executives (ISAE) at its 2009 STAR Awards event.
Bose Public Affairs Group received the award for developing and executing the charitable giving campaign “Southport Lives United” for the City of Southport and the United Way. The United Way of Central Indiana provides support to six organizations in the Southport area. In order to kick off the campaign, Southport Mayor Robin Thoman donated his entire salary for one year to benefit the United Way of Central Indiana. Funds raised will benefit the Perry Senior Citizens and the Southport Boy Scout troop during tough economic times. Bose Principal Michael O’Connor, Senior Vice President Roger Harvey, and Public Affairs and Communications Specialist Dana Stone managed the “Southport Lives United” project.
The ISAE’s 2009 Society’s Top Association Recognition (STAR) Awards event took place Dec. 3 at the Indianapolis Artsgarden, recognizing association activities, suppliers, professionals and programs that are making a difference. The ISAE exists to support and strengthen association professionals’ success, providing the state’s leading educational and networking events designed specifically for the needs of association executives.
O’Connor directs Bose Public Affairs Group communications team which provides business and political clients with comprehensive communications consulting from campaign development and brand management to crisis communications.
Harvey is a senior vice president with Bose Public Affairs Group. He works closely with corporations, governmental entities and non-profit organizations, providing strategic communications services. His expertise includes crisis communications, media training, public relations and grassroots campaigns.
Stone provides a wide range of services to Bose Public Affairs Group and to clients, including graphic design work and development of brochures, marketing materials, fact sheets, publication materials and PowerPoint presentations. She also coordinates media relations for Bose Public Affairs Group and its clients with a statewide network of media contacts.
