Stephens, Wakefield Speak to Law Students at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis
The law firm of Bose McKinney & Evans LLP is pleased to announce that paralegals Jodie Stephens and Melissa Wakefield will speak during a presentation to the Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Chapter at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.
The presentation will take place on Tuesday, March 30, and the program will be open to Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Chapter members, as well as paralegal students and other IUPUI students interested in the legal field. Stephens and Wakefield will present on the use of paralegals in the creditors’ rights and real estate areas. There also will be a question and answer period, along with open discussion.
Wakefield is a paralegal in Bose McKinney & Evans’ Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights Group. She assists both borrower and creditor clients in connection with various collection, foreclosure and bankruptcy proceedings.
Wakefield is a member of the Indianapolis Bar Association (Executive Council for the Paralegal Committee, Commercial Law and Bankruptcy Section), Indiana State Bar Association and Indiana Paralegal Association. She earned her degree in the professional paralegal program from the Professional Career Development Institute School of Paralegal Studies.
Also a paralegal in the Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights Group, Stephens assists both borrower and creditor clients in connection with various collection, foreclosure and bankruptcy proceedings. Prior to joining the firm, she worked as a paralegal for more than 10 years in family law, labor and employment, consumer rights and insurance defense.
Stephens received her Bachelor of Science in legal administration and criminal justice from Ball State University. She is a member of the Indianapolis Bar Association (Executive Council for the Paralegal Committee, Commercial Law and Bankruptcy Section) and Indiana Paralegal Association.
Bose McKinney & Evans Welcomes Perry
The law firm of Bose McKinney & Evans LLP is pleased to announce that paralegal Nichole R. Perry has joined the firm.
Perry is a paralegal in Bose McKinney & Evans’ Real Estate Group. She assists attorneys with real estate acquisitions, sales, commercial leasing and various zoning matters, including other due diligence issues. She routinely reviews and coordinates title and survey. In addition, Perry has experience in assisting with the formation of business entities and corporate compliance in various jurisdictions.
Residing in Carmel, Perry received her Bachelor of Science from Ball State University in legal administration. She has more than 10 years of experience in the legal field. Prior to joining Bose McKinney & Evans, Perry worked as a paralegal for Kite Realty Group, Pulte Homes and other Indianapolis-based law firms.
Bose McKinney & Evans Wins Award for a “Bear” of a Donation to Local Government Program
The law firm of Bose McKinney & Evans LLP is helping to warm the hearts of area children by donating the most bears to the Teddy Bear Challenge, sponsored by the Indianapolis Bar Association Paralegal Committee. The “bear” of a donation goes to the Bears on Patrol outreach program through the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD), Indianapolis Fire Department (IFD) and Marion County Sheriff’s Department.
This year, Bose McKinney & Evans received “The Most Bears” award for collecting 1,945 stuffed animals for the cause, which is more than the total collected from all firms last year. Altogether, more than 4,000 stuffed animals were donated to the three departments.
Wakefield Speaks at Indiana Paralegal Association 30th Anniversary Celebration
The law firm of Bose McKinney & Evans LLP is pleased to announce that paralegal Melissa Wakefield will speak at a seminar sponsored by the Indiana Paralegal Association (IPA) for its 30th anniversary celebration.
The event, “Celebrating the Success of the Past…a Prelude to the Future,” will take place Friday, October 9, 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. at Sheraton Indianapolis City Centre, 31 West Ohio Street, in Indianapolis. It will include Continuing Legal Education (CLE) seminars, a vendor exhibition, luncheon, style show, wine and cheese reception, and dinner with a keynote speaker.
