Bose McKinney & Evans Attorneys Named to Top 25 Women and Top 50 2016 Indiana Super Lawyers

Feldhake, MaryMary Feldhake is a partner who concentrates her practice primarily in medical malpractice defense and healthcare litigation. Schuerman, Elizabeth 2015Elizabeth Schuerman is a partner practicing primarily in medical malpractice defense, premises liability defense and general litigation. She counsels clients through all aspects of litigation including pursuit negotiation, discovery, mediation and trial. Schuerman was included in the Top 25 Indiana Super Lawyers in 2015. In 2010, Schuerman was named the Indianapolis Bar Association’s 2010 Young Lawyer of the Year. She received her B.A. from Truman State University (2000) and her J.D. from Southern Illinois University (2006, cum laude). Bose McKinney & Evans Welcomes Catherine Fanello

Fanello, CatherineThe law firm of Bose McKinney & Evans LLP is pleased to announce the addition of associate Catherine Fanello to the Public Finance Group.

Fanello’s legal practice focuses on assisting government entities in tax-exempt and taxable municipal financing transactions. In addition, she advises governmental entities on post-issuance bond compliance, local taxation, public-private partnerships and procurement matters. Fanello is also an Indiana-licensed certified public accountant (CPA).

Prior to joining Bose McKinney & Evans, Fanello served as South Bend City Controller where she oversaw a budget of approximately $200 million, managed $242.5 million of outstanding city debt, assisted on economic development projects and oversaw the issuance of numerous bond financing transactions. Fanello also served as a County Commissioner in Vanderburgh County.

Fanello received her bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Southern Indiana and she earned her law degree from Valparaiso University School of Law. She is licensed to practice law in Indiana, Illinois and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Indiana.

In addition, Fanello serves on the St. Joseph County Election Board as the chair. She is a member of the American Bar Association, National Association of Bond Lawyers, Indiana Bar Association, St. Joseph County Bar Association and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Doug Brown Reappointed to Capital Improvement Board

Doug BrownBrown, Doug, a partner at Bose McKinney & Evans LLP and managing principal at Bose Public Affairs Group LLC, has been reappointed to serve a two-year term to the Marion County Capital Improvement Board of Managers.

Brown, who has been on the board for 14 years, enters his eighth term after being reappointed by the Marion County Commissioners. The Capital Improvement Board is comprised of nine community leaders responsible for the ownership, financing and operation of the City of Indianapolis’ sports, convention and public assembly venues, including the Indiana Convention Center, Lucas Oil Stadium, Bankers Life Fieldhouse and Victory Field.

Brown is a partner in the Business Services Group of Bose McKinney & Evans LLP. He is also an active member of the firm’s Governmental Services and Financial Institutions Groups. Brown advises businesses in various sectors, including mortgage lending, software, manufacturing, motorsports, real estate development, gaming and horse racing, in connection with a wide variety of legal issues, including business transactions, disputes, financing, governmental affairs, public affairs, legislative affairs, regulatory affairs, and daily strategic and operational matters.

Brown’s law practice dovetails into his work at Bose Public Affairs Group, where he assists clients in their federal, state and local legislative and executive branch lobbying needs.

Bose McKinney & Evans Welcomes Ronald Ehinger to the Fort Wayne Office

Ehinger joins the firm’s Business Services Group. He focuses his practice in the areas of business and commercial law, including business acquisitions and dispositions, contracts, commercial transactions and real estate. Ehinger’s practice also includes intellectual property law with a concentration on trademarks, trade secrets and licenses.

Ehinger is a member of the American Bar Association, Indiana State Bar Association, Ohio State Bar Association and Allen County Bar Association.

Groth Elected President of Indianapolis Transportation Club

Groth, Steve 2013The law firm of Bose McKinney & Evans LLP is pleased to announce that partner Steven Groth has been elected president of the Indianapolis Transportation Club Board of Directors.

The Indianapolis Transportation Club was established in 1907 and promotes networking and stimulating education opportunities in transportation, warehousing, logistics and supply chain management. In addition, the club sponsors scholarships for students to attract and support the future of the industry.

Groth is a partner in the Litigation Group, concentrating his practice on transportation, business, and personal injury litigation. He defends clients in the trucking industry against wrongful death and serious injury claims and represents businesses in connection with contracts, business disputes, and litigation avoidance.

Groth received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Illinois in Champaign and his Juris Doctor degree from Washington University in St. Louis. He also is a Certified Public Accountant. As a former member of the U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General’s Corps, Groth served as prosecutor, defense counsel and assistant professor of military justice at the United States Naval Academy.

He is admitted to practice in federal and state courts of Indiana and Illinois, the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces.
